Thomas R. Tirney, PhD 
President

Dr. Tirney has been President of Arlington Heritage Group, Inc. since 1986.  A long-time entrepreneur, Dr. Tirney has successfully started several companies in the health care and consulting during his career.  These include United Health Care, Inc., University Affiliates, and several retail pharmacies in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Tom was also a corporate executive at J.C. Penney Company serving as Director of Corporate Management Development and then later as an internal consultant to senior management.

As a full time professor, he taught at Temple University and the University of Vermont.  He has been an adjunct professor at Villanova University, Pace University, and Delaware Valley College.  Dr. Tirney received a MBA from Temple University majoring in statistics and awarded his PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania for organizational behavior and behavioral science. 

CEO, Thomas R. Tirney, PhD, and Chief Operating Officer, Jeffrey Thompson, FD, have been serving the special needs community since 1986.

Jeffrey Thompson, FD 
Vice President, Operations

Mr. Thompson joined Arlington in 2001 to oversee operations and general management.  Mr. Thompson also owns the J.J. Bryers Funeral Home in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania since 1999. 

Jeff began his career as the Eastern U.S. Sales Manager for Batesville Casket and then jointed the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association where he was the Marketing Coordinator to establish burial trust accounts.  He also helped create the New Jersey Funeral Plan, a company which establishes pre-need funeral contracts via insurance for funeral homes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Mr. Thompson received his undergraduate degree from North West Louisiana State University and his Mortuary Arts Science Degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Jack Rule,
Legal Counsel

John A. Rule is a shareholder in the law firm of Miller, Turetsky, Rule & McLennan, P.C. located in Collegeville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. For over 25 years Jack has actively practiced law in representing persons with disabilities and their families; human service providers, advocates, and other nonprofit organizations.  As the parent of a child with special needs Jack knows first-hand the difficulties that are experienced in negotiating this often confusing terrain.
